Nero, 54-68. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.56 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 64-65. NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Nero to right. Rev. IVPPITER CVSTOS Jupiter seated left on low throne, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left. BMC 74. CBN 220. Cohen 119. RIC 53. A beautifully toned example, very well centered on a broad flan and with a bold portrait and a lovely reverse. Faint hairlines and with minor weakness on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
